Hi! I’m Arica Shepard, the newest member of the sales team here at Country Legends
106.9. I recently graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor’s of Science
Degree in Business and majored in Marketing. I was a member of the ESU Volleyball
team for the past four years and earned many individual awards, but I am most proud
of what we accomplished as a team. My teammates and I helped turn ESU volleyball
around into a very successful program. On a different note, congratulations to the
Emporia State Women’s Basketball team on an amazing season and giving my alumni
our first athletic National Championship!! Great job girls!!

Having graduated from Rossville High School in 2006, it seemed like coming back to
the Topeka area was a natural fit and that this is where I should settle down. You can
call me a home body but I wanted to stay close to my family and friends. You might see
another one of me running around Topeka, and if you say hi and you receive no answer
and a confused look don’t be offended. I have an identical twin sister, Ashley, who goes
to Washburn University and is on the Volleyball team. I also have a brother, Justin, that
attends Washburn and both of them are majoring in Mass Media. My parents have been
together for 38 years now, which I know is a huge feat to accomplish nowadays. My
mom is the counselor at my old high school and my dad is a State Farm Insurance Agent . I
currently live with my boyfriend of over 3 years, Cole Ahlvers, and couple of our friends.

I love how involved this station is with the community and how much they give
back. I am really excited to be a member of a station with such high values and can
