Chelle is a familiar face at KTPK where she began working in 1997 while still a college student at Washburn University. She received two degrees from W.U. in Theatre and Mass Media and feels blessed to work in a profession that uses the interests she enjoys so much.

She grew up in Olathe when it was still a small town outside Kansas City before becoming the huge suburb it is today and attended Olathe North High School (Go, Eagles!) After that, she spent time studying at Emporia State (Go, Hornets!) and Cambridge University (Go, English People!) before finishing up her studies and becoming a permanent resident of Topeka.

When not on-the-air, Chelle enjoys performing and is an accomplished actress and singer. She also occasionally appears in television commercials although she swears she “has a face made for radio.”

She spends her free time with her husband who she affectionately calls “The Senator” and their son. A German Sheppard and a Burmese Mountain Dog (both adopted from the Helping Hands Humane Society) round out the family. They enjoy playing cards, watching television (Modern Family, Psych, The Daily Show, Craig Ferguson, and Pawn Wars), and playing chess. The entire family volunteer hundreds of hours each year to a local non-profit, and Chelle encourages all of her listeners to “spend some of your time volunteering; you’ll be amazed at how it changes the quality of your life.”
