Hi everyone, how ya doing? My name’s Colten Henry. But please…..call me Colt. Not only is it a syllable shorter, it makes me sound way cooler than I actually am. I was born March 8th, 1987 in Manhattan, KS. Yeah yeah, I’m the youngest one here at the station, by at least a couple of years, but I’m also the best lookin’. I grew up out in the country near a little town called Randolph. I am the oldest of three kids, with two younger sisters.
Now, down to the part where I get to brag about myself. I am currently a Mass Media major enrolled at Washburn University. I’m on track to graduate in Spring of 2010, but... you know how these things can go. Not quite for sure yet what I want to do with my life after college but I’m sure I’ll figure that out. I really enjoy being in front of a camera or behind a mic. I also like shooting and editing video for different programs. I have another job during the school year, working at KTWU. While at Washburn, I've done several cool things perfect for my career field - I did a segment called “The Buzz” on “The Aisle Seat.” I also anchored on Washburn's WUCT-13. I’m really thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to get to be involved in all of these different things.
Anyways, you can see me at most of the station events that go on around here. I get to drive the station van around, so give me a wave if you see me! I also get the unique honor of manning the prize wheel; which means if you're really nice to me, you just might get a t-shirt. I really enjoy working in radio, I get to meet new people, travel, and I’m not stuck inside all day long.
