Hello, my name is Arch Ecker, or 'The ArchMan". I moved to Topeka with the RoadRunners hockey team, and have felt at home since the day I got here. I've worked 12 years in radio in Montana doing pretty much every job there is to do in a station, and I'm thrilled to be back in radio.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Butte, Montana in 1990. I played in a classic rock band called "Venus Alley" from 1993 until I moved away in 2006, having the honor of opening for bands such as Kansas, Steppenwolf, Eric Burdon, George Thorogood and more. I also worked in the local radio stations, eventually working my way into the morning show for the final five years of my stint there. And as if there wasn't enough going on, I also broadcast hockey games for teams in Butte and nearby Helena, MT. My plate has been full for years, and I don't really know any other way to do it. I still webcast RoadRunners hockey games here in Topeka in addition to my duties with the station.
Since I've been in Topeka, I've been fortunate to make a number of excellent business contacts, and more importantly, some great friends. I play in a local cover band called "Loose Change" and am a single Dad with a 16-year old son, Kenny. I write and record my own songs, play adult league ice hockey, ride my motorcycle occasionally, and don't mind a round of golf now and again.
Now that I'm a part of the Country Legends 106.9 team, I am excited to meet new people and make new friends. Thank you for stopping by our website.
